ARIA Set-Jetting: Relive Jason Bourne, Movie & TV Fantasies

Vegas earlier this year, for the thrilling, action-packed fifth installment of the “Bourne” franchise set to hit theaters July 29. This isn’t the first time the AAA Five Diamond resort has played host to Hollywood as the backdrop to several notable films and television shows.

With the “set jetting” trend on the rise where travel plans revolve around filming destinations, we thought readers would be interested to learn how they can recreate their favorite scenes from popular movies and TV shows at ARIA.

Movies

  • “Jason Bourne” (2016)
Throughout ARIA
Excitement built throughout the course of filming the popular spy-action movie series as passersby gathered to catch a glimpse of Matt Damon who returns for the blockbuster franchise’s fifth installment. Intense scenes were shot throughout ARIA’s convention space, casino and valet in addition to an unbelievable chase sequence along Las Vegas Blvd, featured in the movie’s trailer.
 
  • “Last Vegas” (2013)
ARIA’s Sky Villas, Casino Floor, LIQUID Pool Club
Starring Academy Award-winning actors Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and Michael Douglas, “Last Vegas” used the resort to tell the story of four best friends attempting to relive their glory days. The gang vacationed like VIPs in ARIA’s Sky Villas, judged a sexy swimsuit competition at ARIA’s day club LIQUID Pool Club and tested their luck at a high-stakes poker table. 
 
  • “Now You See Me” (2013)
ARIA’s Porte Cochere, Sky Villas, Casino Floor
The 2013 thriller about a group of world-famous illusionists filmed its intense FBI heist scenes throughout ARIA. The four main stars were grilled by agents in one of the two-story Sky Villas, and arrested on the main casino floor.

  • “The Bachelor” (2016)
ARIA’s Sky Villa
In season 20 of “The Bachelor,” Ben Higgins surprised the girls with a trip to Las Vegas to enjoy a relaxing getaway at ARIA’s Sky Villas. The highlight of the trip was when Ben and contestant JoJo Fletcher spent the evening together on a romantic date, which included an exciting helicopter ride plus a private fireworks show in front of ARIA’s iconic architecture.
 
  • “Bosch” (2015)
ARIA’s Main Casino
In the eighth episode of the streaming series, viewers may have recognized ARIA’s main casino, where Bosch’s ex-wife was involved in a high-stakes poker game. Later, the dysfunctional duo discusses the whereabouts of their daughter within the confines of ARIA’s AAA Five Diamond Sky Suites
 
  • “The Amazing Race” (2014)
ARIA’s Marquee
Standing at 250 feet tall and 65 feet wide, it is no wonder ARIA’s marquee made an excellent clue for a challenge on the reality show. Contestants were flown over the Las Vegas Strip via helicopter, and prompted by ARIA’s 11 million-pixel sign on what the next step was in their quest to win a million dollars.
 
  • “The Ellen DeGeneres Show(2015)
ARIA’s Sky Villas, Casino Floor, BARDOT Brasserie, The Spa at ARIA
To launch Ellen DeGeneres’ new slot machine, the funny lady sent two of her writers to ARIA to seek out the perfect birthday gift for her. Instead, they ended up enjoying drinks at ARIA’s new restaurant, BARDOT Brasserie, splurging on butler services in ARIA’s Sky Villas, getting pampered at The Spa at ARIA, and of course, taking a few spins on Ellen’s slot machine.
